# "The King and I" Reveals 2016 National Tour Plans

*[The King and I](http://www.tiqiq.com/rodgers--hammersteins-the-king-and-i-tickets)* will be taking to the road next year. A mainstay at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater, the Tony-nominated show has plans to embark on a national tour beginning in November of 2016. Producers claim that the musical will run in the heart of Manhattan indefinitely leading up to the start of its tour, which is slated to kick off in Providence, Rhode Island.

 The musical has been awarded for nine Tony Awards and has received critical acclaim since first debuting on Broadway in 1951.
