This week in metal and rock kicks off with a show by rock band Rush with a show at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on the 12th. The next day on the 13th metal band Of Mice and Men will perform at the Best Buy Theatre in New York City while Faith No More will be at Webster Hall in NYC on May 14th. Also on the 14th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, Dear Jerry a celebration if the music of the late Jerry Garcia. Finally capping off the week on the 17th metal bands Mastodon and Clutch will play the House of Blues of Boston, Massachusetts.

5/14 Dear Jerry at the Merriweather Post Pavilion - Avg. Ticket Price $177.97 | Get-in: $81

This week on the 14th Dear Jerry, a celebration of the music of the late Jerry Garcia and the 50th anniversary of The Grateful Dead at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The show has an average ticket price of $177.97 and a lowest get-in price of $81. The show is the first of its kind and features the four remaining living members of The Grateful Dead. In total there will be more than 20 musicians performing including Peter Frampton and Eric Church to celebrate Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary.

5/14 Faith No More at Webster Hall - Avg. Ticket Price $159.95 | Get-in: $115

Experimental rock band Faith No More will be at Webster Hall this week in New York City on May 14th. The show has an average ticket price of $159.95 and a lowest get-in price of $115. The band will release their seventh album Sol Invictus, their first in nearly 20 years later this month. Faith No More will also play at Webster Hall on the 13th and will head to Philadelphia Pennsylvania on the 15th for show at the Electric Factory.

5/12 Rush at the Xcel Energy Center - Avg. Ticket Price $153.44 | Get-in: $66

Rush will be playing at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota this week on the 12th. The show has an average ticket price of $153.44 but fans will be able to find tickets for as low as $66. The band last released their twentieth album Clockwork Angels back in 2012 raeching number 2 on the US Billboard 200 charts. The R40 tour celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary will also stop in St. Louis at the Scottrade Center on the 14th and the Austin360 Amphitheatre in Austin, Texas on the 16th.

5/13 Of Mice and Men at the Best Buy Theatre - Avg Ticket Price $147.50 | Get-in: $36

Metalcore band Of Mice and Men will be playing at the Best Buy Theatre in New York City on the 13th. The show has an average ticket price of $147.50 though fans will be able to find tickets for as low as $36. The band last released Restoring Force last year though a new album is in the works with a new single Broken Generation premiering back in February. The tour will also stop this week in Worcester, Massachusetts at the Palladium on the 12th before appearing at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio on May 16th.

5/17 Mastodon & Clutch at the House of Blues Boston - Avg. Ticket Price $93.61 | Get-in: $46  

On May 17th metal bands Mastodon and Clutch will stop at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. The show has an average ticket price of $93.61 and a lowest get-in price of $46. Clutch is set to release Psychic Warfare later this year, their follow up to 2013’s Earth Rocker while Mastodon put out Once More ‘Round the Sun  last year to critical acclaim. The tour will also stop this week in Baltimore, Maryland at Pier Six and next week will head to New York City at Central Park Summerstage.
