Top Indie and Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (5/4)

This week’s selection of top indie and alternative concerts kicks off on May 7th with two great shows in New York City. First Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be stopping at Webster Hall while pop-punkers The Maine will be playing at the Best Buy Theatre. On the 8th punk band The Dead Milkman will be at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia while They Might Be Giants will stops at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon. Also on May 8th bands 311, Rise Against, and Panic! at the Disco will be at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. Finally on 9th The Replacements and Superchunk will be at the Penn’s Landing Fest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

5/7 Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at Webster Hall - Avg. Ticket Price $226.16 | Get-in: $149

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be playing at Webster Hall in New York City this week on May 7th. The show has an average ticket price of $226.16 and a lowest get-in price of $149. Noel Gallagher most known for being the guitarist and songwriter behind the band Oasis, released a new album Chasing Yesterday earlier this year. After this performance in NYC Noel Gallagher will head to Atlanta, Georgia on the 8th for an appearance at the Shaky Knees Festival.

 

5/7 The Maine at the Best Buy Theatre - Avg Ticket Price $173.36 | Get-in: $59

Pop-rock band The Maine will be playing at the Best Buy theatre in New York City this week on the 7th. The show has an average ticket price of $173.36 and a lowest get-in price of $59. The band released their fifth album American Candy earlier this year debuting at number 37 on the US Billboard charts. The tour which includes openers Real Friends and Knucklepuck will also stop in Boston, Massachusetts at the House of Blues on May 5th and on May 9th at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

5/8 They Might Be Giants at the Roseland Theater - Avg. Ticket Price $167.63 | Get-in: $56

Indie band They Might Be Giants will be at the Roseland Theatre in Portland, Oregon this week on the 8th. The show has an average ticket price of $167.63 though fans will be able to find tickets for as cheap as $56. The band who’s been making music since the 80’s released their 17th album Glean last month. They Might Be Giants’ tour continue will also stop in Boise, Idaho on the 6th at the Knitting Factory and on the 7th at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle, Washington.

 

5/8 The Dead Milkmen at the Hell Stage at Masquerade - Avg. $160 | Get-in: $48

Punk band The Dead Milkmen will be at the Hell Stage at Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia this week on the 8th. The show has an average ticket price of $160 and a lowest get-in price of $48. The band have been playing since the 80’s and most recently released their 10th album Pretty Music for Pretty People last fall. On the 9th The Dead Milkmen will stop at the Saturn in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

5/8 311, Rise Against, & Panic! at the Disco at the USANA Amphitheatre - Avg. Ticket Price $150.39 | Get-in: $49

311, Rise Against, and Panic! at the Disco will be playing a jam packed show this week on the 8th in Salt Lake City, Utah at the USANA Amphitheatre. This show has an average ticket price of $150.39 and a lowest get-in price of $49. Officially titled the X96 Toyota Big Ass show, this is the only date where all these bands will play together including indie rock band The Airborne Toxic Event. Fans should be there early as the show has an early start with doors at 2:30 and a start time of 3:00.  

 

5/9 The Replacements & Superchunk at Penn’s Landing Fest - Avg. Ticket Price $114.20 | Get-in: $27

College rock favorites The Replacements and Superchunk will be playing at the Penns Landing Fest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show has an average ticket price of $114.20 though fans will be able to find tickets for as low as only $27. Though the Replacements haven’t released a new album since 1990’s All Shook Down they have been playing a handful of new songs during their tour. Superchunk last released I Hate Music back in 2013, their 10th album overall. Replacements fans can also catch them on May 8th at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.
