Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa Launch ‘Boyz of Zummer’ Tour This Week

(UPDATE 6/8/15) One of the summer’s biggest hybrid tours kicks offs this Wednesday at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey. Arguably the biggest pop-rock band in the world, Fall Out Boy is slated to team up with rap superstar Wiz Khalifa for the “Boyz of Zummer” Tour through North America. 41 dates in the U.S. are scheduled through the end of August and Hoodie Allen also joins as support.

According to TicketIQ, the average price for Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa tickets is $107.69 on the secondary market. The most expensive show will be held on June 14 at Xfinity Center in Massachusetts. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $192.82 and get-in price starts at $46. Other top-priced shows are scheduled for August 7 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas ($178.19), July 10 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit ($166.63) and June 13 at PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey ($143.39).

The tour’s cheapest date will be held on July 4 at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Tickets to the NEPA show currently average at $68.68 and the cheapest available ticket is priced at $23. A slew of other shows also average below $100 on the secondary market; July 17 at Aarons Amphitheatre at Lakewood ($74.76),June 10 at Susquehanna Bank Center ($81.14), June 20 at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion ($83.96) and August 4 at Concord Pavilion ($90.92).

The “Boyz of Zummer” Tour continues through August 10, when it wraps at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Fall Out Boy And Wiz Khalifa Link Up for “The Boys Of Zummer Tour 2015”

(1/23/15) In a rather unusual pairing of pop music’s biggest acts, rock group Fall Out Boy and rapper Wiz Khalifa will embark on “The Boys of Zummer Tour 2015” in June. The joint tour will make 39 stops through mid-August and wraps at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 10.

Fall Out Boy hits the road in support of their latest release, American Beauty/American Psycho, which was released this past Tuesday. Khalifa will join the Chicago-based rockers as he promotes his August 2014 release Blacc Hollywood.

Fall Out Boy will channel a hip-hop flavor on its upcoming tour with the “We Dem Boyz” rapper. Bassist Pete Wentz has stated that Kanye West's Yeezus was a large influence onAmerican Beauty/American Psycho, allowing the rock band to move in an even further direction away from their debut album Take This To Your Grave, which dropped in 2003.

Khalifa is enjoying massive success after the release of Blacc Hollywood. The album has sold over 200,000 copies since August and is the rapper’s first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.

The summer tour will hit major cities across the U.S. and Canada from June to August, making stops in Toronto, Nashville, Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas, Austin, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The Boys of Zummer Tour will mainly play at amphitheaters and pavilions over its 39 dates, though it will also play notable venues like the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and Hollywood Bowl in L.A.

Boys of Zummer Tour tickets on TicketIQ now average at $161.74. The tour’s most expensive date will be at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in New York on June 24, where the average price for tickets is $281.15 and get-in price starts at $53. The cheapest show will be on July 1 at the Klipsch Music Center in Indiana. Average secondary price for tickets is currently $58.82 and the cheapest seat is available for $39.
