(UPDATE 6/15/15) There’s not an easy path for the Tampa Bay Lightning to win the Stanley Cup. They’ll first have to beat the Blackhawks in Chicago for Game 6. Then they’ll have to win a Game 7 Wednesday night at Amalie Arena. Tampa Bay has won two games in a row during this series with Game 2 in Tampa and Game 3 in Chicago. Relative to prices for Game 6, Game 7 will be a steal on the secondary market. The current average price of Lightning Final tickets for Game 7 is $1,386.09, 48% below the average for Game 6. The get-in price for the potential Game 7 is $506.

Lightning Game 5 Tickets Now Averaging Under $700 On Secondary Market
(UPDATE 6/12/15) There was a chance the Tampa Bay Lightning would have the opportunity to win the Stanley Cup on home ice during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. However, a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks stopped that from happening. Now Game 5 will serve as the precursor for one team to have a chance to win the series Monday night in Chicago. The current average price of Lightning Final tickets for Game 5 is just $692.62. The get-in price is $258. The game will be nowhere near as expensive as Game 6, which has a higher get-in price ($753), than Game 5’s current average.

(UPDATE 6/11/15) 6:22 into the third period, Brandon Saad took a 1-1 tied and gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 lead in Game 4 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Final. Chicago was able to hold onto that score and even the series at 2-2 as it shifts back to Tampa Bay for Game 5 on Saturday night. Lighting Final tickets for Game 5 have an average price of just $883.24 on the secondary market with a get-in price of $375. Compare that to Game 6 in Chicago— either way will give the team an opportunity to win the Cup — which has an average price of $2,213.05 and a get-in price of $729.

That would allow the Lightning to return home to Amalie Arena with a chance to win the Stanley Cup on Saturday night in Game 5. Compared to other games in the series, prices won’t be too high on the secondary market. Lightning Final tickets for Game 5 have an average price of $934.01, 35.5% below the average price of Game 4 in Chicago. The current get-in price for Game 5 is $349.

With a win on Wednesday night in Game 4, the Lightning could potentially come home with a chance to win the Stanley Cup at Amalie Arena in Game 5. Currently, Lightning Final tickets for Game 5 are under a $1,000 average on the secondary market. The current average is $895.57 with a get-in price of $360. A potential Game 6 in Chicago has an average of $2,237.20 with a get-in price of $753.

The Lightning and Chicago Blackhawks get an extra day of rest as Game 2 will not be played until Saturday night. (UPDATE 6/4/15) Early in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Tampa Bay Lightning took a quick 1-0 lead. That lead carried all the way to the third period until the Chicago Blackhawks score two goals late, within two minutes of each other, the last coming 15:26 into the period. Tampa Bay will need a win to avoid taking an 0-2 deficit to Chicago. Lightning Final tickets for Game 2 on Saturday night have an average price of $815.93 with a get-in price of $386. Game 3 in Chicago on Monday has an average of $1362.34 with a get-in price of $412.

As the game draws closer, Lighting ticket prices at Amalie Arena continue to be the lowest of the series. Game 1 tickets currently have an average price of $524.70 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $275. Game 2 on Saturday has an average of $878.65, making the first two games the only two with an average under $1,000 on the secondary market. The get-in price for Game 2 is much more expensive than Game 1 with the cheapest ticket currently listed at $389.

Lightning Stanley Cup Finals Tickets Averaging Over $1000 On Resale Market
(5/30/15) After an exciting 7 game Eastern Conference Finals series, the Tampa Bay Lightning are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals. On the secondary market, ticket prices are exceeding $1000 per seat for the upcoming series.
After failing to put the New York Rangers away in Game 6, the Lightning were able to surprisingly take Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final at Madison Square Garden, winning 2-0 with both goals coming in the third period. Tampa Bay, after finishing second in the Atlantic division behind the Montreal Canadiens, will be the Eastern Conference representative in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Lightning were able to get past the hump they couldn’t get over in 2011 when they lost in the Conference Final to the Boston Bruins in seven games. This will be the second Stanley Cup Final trip for the Lightning in franchise history, which dates back to the 1992-93 season. The previous appearance resulted in a seven game win over the Calgary Flames in 2003. On the secondary market, Lightning Stanley Cup Finals tickets have an average price of $1,039 for home games during the series.
The Stanley Cup Final will begin with Game 1 on June 3, giving a few days of rest in between the conclusion of the Conference Final. Below is the schedule of games for the series, all of which will start at 8pm ET.
