Top Broadway Tickets Of The Week (6/1)

Not much has changed over the week for the top Broadway tickets on the secondary market.  Rodger’s Hammerstein’s “The King and I” remains the top priced Broadway ticket and the majority of shows featured this week were part of last week’s list.  However, “Matilda” makes a return to the top priced shows list after a long hiatus.  Below is a breakdown of the top five Broadway tickets on the secondary market this week, according to TicketIQ.

6/6/15 – The King and I | Avg. Price: $777.98 | Get-in Price: $234

The new Broadway production “The King and I” remains the top priced Broadway ticket on the secondary market.  This Broadway show tells an interesting story about a British Governess who tries to help an Eastern King come to terms with the modern world.  The King & I tickets for the showing this Saturday at the Vivian Beaumont Theater are going for an average price of $777.98 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $324.

 

6/4/15 – Matilda | Avg. Price: $664.29 | Get-in Price: $97

Matilda won a record-breaking seven Oliver Awards including best musical based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl.  This musical tells the incredible story of a girl willing take a stand and change her destiny.  Matilda tickets for this Thursday’s showing at the Shubert Theatre are going for a secondary average price of $664.29, with a get-in price of $97.

 

6/3/15 – Fish in the Dark | Avg. Price: $431.49 | Get-in Price: $200

The “Fish in the Dark” Broadway comedy has received good reviews since debuting at the Cort Theatre in March for Larry David’s debut in Broadway. Fish in the Dark tickets for the showing this Wednesday are going for an average price of $431.49 on the secondary market, with the least expensive ticket to get-in priced at $200.

 

6/6/15 – The Audience | Avg. Price: $409.38 | Get-in Price: $192

The Audience” is an interesting Broadway show that tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II and her secret weekly meeting for years with her 12 prime ministers.  The Audience tickets for Saturday’s showing at Schoenfeld Theatre are going for an average price of $409.38 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $192.

 

6/3/15 – The Curious Incident | Avg. Price: $373.09 | Get-in Price: $138
The Curious Incident” Broadway show tells an interesting tale about a young boy looking for justice after the killing of his neighbor’s dog.  The Curious Incident tickets for Wednesday’s showing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre have a secondary average price of $373.09, with the least expensive ticket to get in priced at $138.
