2015 ESPYS Tickets Are Averaging Close To $200 Per Seat On Secondary Market
July 15, 2015
With the sports world basically at a standstill, no professional sports are taking place on Wednesday, ESPN will take advantage by holding its annual ESPY awards. The 2015 ESPYS will be held in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre. The biggest sports stars are expected to appear, many of them nominees for awards. The show will be hosted by Joel McHale of E!’s The Soup and Hulu’s Community. McHale is an avid Seahawks fan, who along with the New England Patriots, are nominated for Best Game from Super Bowl 49.
As the ESPYs have grown to a larger scale event, tickets have started to pop up on the secondary market. There are not many, but any inventory for the sports awards show is a compliment to how much the event has grown. The current average price of ESPY tickets on the secondary market is $188.90 with a get-in price of $92.
The night will be filled with celebrating the top athletes across all sports. Awards like Best Bowler and Best Action Sport Athlete will be given out. The big awards will be for Best Male Athlete (Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Aaron Rodgers and J.J. Watt nominees), Best Female Athlete (Ronda Rousey, Brenna Stuart, Lindsey Vonn and Serena Williams nominees) and Best Game (Royals vs A’s - AL Wild Card, Spurs vs Clippers - Game 7 2014 NBA Finals, Patriots vs Seahawks - Super Bowl XLIX nominees).
Unlike past years, the ESPYs will be broadcast live at 8:00 EST on ABC. Voting for awards is still open and can be done at espn.go.com/espys/2015.
