For many sports the Pan Am Games are a warm up for the Olympic Games with countries testing out some new participants to see how they do on a major international stage. While the events themselves do hold some some commonalities with the Olympics, where this year’s Pan Am Games compete with the Olympics is the star power of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. The Closing Ceremonies, set to be held on July 26, will feature some big name performances including Pitbull and Serena Ryder. The biggest of which, though, will be Kanye West.
