Corey Taylor Reveals “You’re Making Me Hate You” Tour Dates

Corey Taylor is known for his trademark vocals in Slipknot and Stone Sour, but the frontman will be hitting the road for a different kind of tour this summer. The 41-year-old will be in the tour bus promoting “You’re Making Me Hate You”, his upcoming book that is slated to be released on July 7.

The solo tour, which will feature acoustic performances, live readings and crowd discussion at each gig, will officially begin on July 7 at Gramercy Theatre in New York City. It will then travel through the Midwest for several shows before wrapping on July 19 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. Nine dates in total are scheduled over the month-long road stint.

Other stops along the way include the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Chicago’s Bottom Lounge, Granada Theater in Kansas and the Summit Music Hall in Denver. Tickets for all dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 1 at 10am via Live Nation. All tickets are general admission and are priced at $27.50 each ($39.50 with service fees).

The official description of the book on Taylor’s website reads, “Whether it’s people’s rude behavior in restaurants and malls, the many indignities of air travel, eye-searingly terrible fashion choices, dangerously clueless drivers and – most of all – the sorry state of modern music, Taylor’s humor and insight cover civil society’s seeming decline – sparing no on along the way, least of all himself”.

Taylor is an accomplished author on top of his main gig as a professional vocalist. He previously released “Seven Deadly Sins” in 2011 and followed that up with 2013’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven”, both of which were New York Times bestsellers.
