Death Cab For Cutie Tickets Averaging Over $100 on Secondary Market for 2015 Tour

(UPDATE 7/7/15) Death Cab For Cutie will hit the open road next week in support of Kintsugi, the band’s eighth studio album that was released in March. Twenty four stops are scheduled between July 8 and October 5, and the indie rock pioneers are drawing a considerable demand for tickets on the secondary market.

According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Death Cab For Cutie tickets across its three-month tour is $100.35. The band’s most expensive show comes on July 12 at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Death Cab For Cutie Los Angeles tickets currently own a secondary average of $115.67 and the cheapest available ticket is $26. Other top-priced shows include October 3 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre ($109.93 avg./$68 get-in) and September 12 at Madison Square Garden ($105.08 avg./$47 get-in).

Conversely, the “Black Sun” creators will play their cheapest show on September 19 at Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $55.21 and the get-in price is $44. The Grand Sierra Theatre hosts the band’s second least expensive show on September 28, where tickets average at $58.22 and the get-in price is $46.

Kintsugi is the band’s fourth studio album to break the Billboard 200 after debuting at No. 8. It sold 56,000 copies in the U.S. and 4,800 in Canada during its first week of sales.

Death Cab For Cutie Tickets Averaging Over $100 on Secondary Market for 2015 Tour

(UPDATE 4/27/15) Last Thursday, Death Cab For Cutie began its spring tour at the Arvest Bank Theatre in Kansas City. The indie outfit will make its first North American excursion through the middle of next month before picking back up on tour in July. Tickets are in high demand on the secondary market, too, as Death Cab For Cutie tickets on TicketIQ currently average at $102.38.

The band will play its most expensive date on September 11 at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston. That show currently owns a secondary average of $154.66 and the cheapest available ticket is listed for $60. The cheapest show of tour will be on September 19 at Lifestyles Communities Pavilion, which sees tickets average at $57.28 and get-in price start at $42.

The Narrow Stairs creators are on tour in support of their latest album, Kintsugi, which was released late last month. The album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and sold 56,000 copies in its initial week.

Death Cab For Cutie Announce Additional 2015 Tour Dates, Including MSG & Red Rocks

(UPDATE 2/11/15) Ben Gibbard and Death Cab For Cutie have announced a handful of additional tour dates, including headlining gigs at Red Rock Amphitheatre and Madison Square Garden. Thus far, the September 12th MSG show is reasonably priced on the secondary market at an average cost of $112.99. Cheapest seats at $62 and the band will be joined by instrumental outfit Explosions In The Sky as an opening act.

Death Cab For Cutie Anounce 2015 Tour Dates

(UPDATED 1/29/15) Indie rock band Death Cab For Cutie is heading out on tour this spring in support of their new album Kintsugi. The band most known for their 2005 album “Plans” with the hit singles “Soul Meets Body” and “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” are releasing the new record on March 31st via Atlantic Records. This tour in support of Kintsugi is the first without founding guitar player Chris Walla who left the band last year. The first show is on April 10th in Mesa, Arizona at Quail Run Park. On April 23rd the band will play the Arvest Bank Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri. Indie band The Antlers will open for Death Cab starting on this show until May 12th. The show on May 4th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Riverside Theater has the most expensive average ticket price of $204, compared to the tour average price of $136.80. On the 12th Death Cab will be in Louisville, Kentucky at the Iroquois Amphitheater. This show has the cheapest average ticket price of the tour of only $62. After an performance in St. Louis on the 13th the next show will be on July 12th at the Hollywood Bowl with tUnE-yArDs in Hollywood, California.
