James Taylor Kicks Off 2015 Summer Tour in Maine This Tuesday

(UPDATE 7/6/15) Just one month after releasing Before This World, his first studio album since 2002, James Taylor will soon be hitting the road for a subsequent summer tour through North America. The iconic singer-songwriter will launch his summer run this Tuesday at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine and is slated to make 14 stops through the beginning of next month. Don’t expect to see Taylor on the cheap, however, as the “Fire & Rain” singer is posting a considerable demand for tickets on the secondary market.
According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for James Taylor tickets over his month-long run is $176.79. Taylor makes his most expensive stop on August 6 at Fenway Park in his native Boston, where James Taylor Boston tickets average at $363.83 and the cheapest available ticket is $177. Other top-priced shows include July 29 at Colonial Life Arena ($232.82 avg./$102 get-in), July 31at Greensboro Coliseum ($216.42 avg./$95 get-in) and July 17 at Riverbend Music Center ($170.62 avg./$39 get-in).
Conversely, the 67-year-old’s cheapest gig comes on July 12 at Constellation Brand Performing Arts Center in Mineola, New York. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $75.59 and the get-in price is $53. On July 15 he’ll play his second cheapest show at Klipsch Music Center, where tickets average at $120 and get-in price starts at $30.

James Taylor Announces Summer U.S. Tour Dates
(UPDATE 4/17) In the wake of announcing his first studio album in 13 years, James Taylor has also revealed touring plans for the summer. His first batch of announced dates will be played in July and early-August, and more shows are expected to be announced soon.
The tour kicks off at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania on July 2. It will primarily make east coast stops in smaller cities through August 6, when it wraps at Fenway Park in Boston. 16 dates in total are scheduled over the month-long stretch.
Taylor will release Before This World, his upcoming 17th studio record, on June 16. It will be the follow-up to 2002’s October Road, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 that year.

James Taylor Announces Fenway Park Engagement Next August
According to a release from the Boston Globe, James Taylor will be the next big named artist to perform at Fenway Park. The scheduled date is August 6th. Taylor is a Boston native and follows the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Jack White, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, and Dave Matthews in headlining the famed Red Sox ballpark. Taylor had also performed at Fenway during festivals and national anthems in the past. Bonnie Raitt has been added as special guest for the Fenway Park show and tickets go on sale to the general public on November 21st.
James Taylor Announces North American Fall Tour
Showing little sign of slowing down, one of the folk-rock scene’s most celebrated singer-songwriters will tour North America for the second time in 2014 with the release of James Taylor tickets for nine dates this fall.
The five-time Grammy winner has only just completed his Stateside summer trek, but following a series of shows across Europe he will once again hit the road in his homeland, starting at Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena on November 1 – tickets for which are available on TicketIQ at a get-in price of $116.
Taylor, currently on board the Queen Mary 2 where he will perform twice during the cruise ship’s eight-day transatlantic journey, will then head to the likes of Milwaukee’s Bradley BMO Harris Bradley Center on Nov 4 ($94), Moline’s I Wireless Center on Nov 6 ($175) and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov 9 ($130), with several further dates expected to be added in the near future.
James Taylor tickets are on offer at TicketIQ for all nine confirmed shows, with the Nov 19 concert at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena currently with the lowest get-in price at $81 and the Nov 7 performance at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center with the highest at $176.
Fans with James Taylor tickets for his recent run of gigs have been treated to a career-spanning set covering everything from his 1968 self-titled debut (“Carolina In My Mind,” “Something In The Way You Move”) right up to 2002’s last original studio effort, October Road (“Raised Up Family”), including his breakthrough hit, “Fire and Rain,” his sole US number one, “You’ve Got A Friend,” and the Grammy-winning “Handy Man.”

James Taylor Returns To Touring in 2014
After taking a break from the stage this year to concentrate on writing new material, one of America’s most accomplished singer-songwriters will return to performing in 2014 following the release of James Taylor tickets for a series of shows in the US and Europe.
The 65-year-old, who is currently working on his first album of original compositions since 2002’s October Road, will first play in front of an audience on January 24 when he helps to honour former touring partner Carole King at the Musicares Person of the Year Gala in Los Angeles, an award he received himself back in 2006.
The folk-rock veteran will then return to the annual Fourth of July celebrations at Lenox’s Tanglewood for the 23rd time in his career before climbing aboard the England-bound Queen Mary 2 cruise ship for several performances during its August 27-September 4 eight-day sail.
Taylor will then kick off a 14-date European tour at Plymouth Pavilions on September 5, taking in the likes of Norway’s Konserthus, Belgium’s Cirque Royal and Dublin’s The O2, before concluding with a two-night run at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 7-8.
