Jill Scott Begins 2015 Summer Tour This Week

(UPDATE 7/6/15) Actress, model and singer Jill Scott is hitting the road for a summer tour across North America this week. The Philadelphia native is slated to make 28 stops across the U.S. through the end of August. Expect to pay big if searching the secondary market for tickets, however. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Jill Scott tickets is $163.96.
Scott’s top-priced gig comes on July 18 at Pier Six Concert Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland. Jill Scott Baltimore tickets own a secondary average of $414.29 and the cheapest available ticket is $299. Among other most expensive shows include August 19 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles ($269.31 avg./$75 get-in),August 4 at Orpheum Theatre ($243.20 avg./$217 get-in) and July 26 at Borgata Events Center in Atlantic City ($233.89 avg./$153 get-in).
The Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut will host Scott’s cheapest show on July 16. The average secondary price for Jill Scott Connecticut tickets is $123.36 and the get-in price is $47. She’ll play the Moody Theater in conjunction with ACL Live on August 15, where tickets average at $129.31 and get-in price starts at $115.
Scott is touring in support of her upcoming fifth album, Woman, which is set to be released later this year. She premiered the album’s first single, “Fool’s Gold”, back in May.

Jill Scott Announces New Single, Summer U.S. Tour Dates
Singer-songwriter Jill Scott will be on the road this summer in support of her upcoming fifth studio album. The 43-year-old on Monday premiered her latest single, “Fools Gold”, and announced a string of U.S. tour dates in July and August. No word on what the album is titled or when it will be released, but Scott will undoubtedly reveal new tunes on her summer stretch of live dates.
The tour officially kicks off on July 13 at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh. It will wind through the U.S. until August 28, when it wraps at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix. 25 dates in total are scheduled over the month-long road stint.
Tickets for all upcoming shows go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, May 15 via Scott’s official webpage. Other notable city stops along the tour route include Baltimore, Cincinnati, Atlantic City, Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, Oakland and San Diego.
Scott’s forthcoming album will be a follow-up to 2011’s The Light of the Sun, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 that year and was certified gold in the U.S.
