Modest Mouse Announce 2015 Tour Behind Sixth Studio Album

(UPDATE 7/15/15) Modest Mouse is having a big 2015. The indie rock six-piece put out its sixth studio record, Strangers to Ourselves, in March and will embark on a 20-show summer tour through North America this weekend. The band is seeing significant ticket demand on the secondary market ahead of its road stint, too, as tickets are nearing a $100 average on the secondary market.
According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Modest Mouse tickets over its summer run is $90.73. The tour kicks off on Friday at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and winds around the U.S. through September 12, when it wraps at 103.3 Edgefest at Buffalo Outer Harbor.
The most expensive show along the way comes on September 1 at Liberty Hall in New York. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $125.40 and the get-in price is $83. Other top-priced gigs include July 23 at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion ($92.49 avg./$37 get-in) and September 2 at The Pageant ($92.04 avg./$74 get-in).
Conversely, the cheapest show will be held on August 26 at Idaho Botanical Garden. Modest Mouse Idaho tickets own a secondary average of $71 and the cheapest available ticket is $57. Additional least expensive gigs are August 27at Big Sky Brewery ($75.40 avg./$58 get-in), July 20 at Levitt Pavilion ($79.59 avg./$69 get-in) and August 25 at the Paramount Theatre ($84.17 avg./$56 get-in).

(UPDATE 3/6) Tickets to Modest Mouse's upcoming pair of shows at Webster Hall are now on sale. The two shows will take place on March 18 and 19 and will be supported by opening act Mimicking Birds. The tour officially kicks off at the Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa on March 7 and will run through the U.S. and Canada until June 19, when the band makes its final tour stop at the Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware.

(3/4/15) 2015 will be a big year for Modest Mouse, whose forthcoming sixth studio album “Strangers to Ourselves” is slated to hit shelves on March 17. The band has announced a subsequent tour in support of the album this spring and summer as well, which includes international dates in Denmark, Poland, England and Scotland in June and July.
Five songs from “Strangers to Ourselves” have already been released by Modest Mouse, giving fans ample time to sing along to the new tracks during the band’s upcoming tour. 26 dates are scheduled over the five-month road stint.
It will kick off at the Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa, Florida on March 6 and wrap at the HomeAway Music and Arts Festival in Ontario on July 25. Modest Mouse will play eight festivals in total, all of which are listed with an asterisk below.
“Strangers to Ourselves” is the band’s first studio LP since 2007’s “We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank”, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 and has since sold more than 500,000 copies in the U.S. alone.
