As 2015 Summer Tour Begins, Steely Dan and Elvis Costello Tickets Topping $200 Average on Resale Market

(UPDATE 7/8/15) Rock and roll mainstays Steely Dan and Elvis Costello have teamed up for the start of their joint summer tour through North America. The pair kicked things off at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on Monday and will play 29 more shows through the middle of next month. Plenty of ticket demand exists on the secondary market, as the average secondary price for Steely Dan tickets and Elvis Costello tickets along the month-long run is $201.11.

PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey hosts the top-priced show of tour on August 1. According to TicketIQ, Steely Dan New Jersey tickets average at $266.75, 32.6% above tour average, and the cheapest available ticket is $46. Other top-priced shows include Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on July 31 ($243.67 avg.), Hollywood Bowl on July 13 ($214.47 avg.) and August 6 at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre ($192.08 avg.).

The cheapest tour date comes on July 22 at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, where tickets own a secondary average of $84.58 and the get-in price starts at $33. An August 9 stop at Chastain Park will be the only other show that owns a ticket average below $100 at $87.78. The get-in price for that show is $72.

The tour continues in the U.S. and Canada through August 12, when it wraps at Coral Sky Amphitheatre.

Steely Dan and Elvis Costello Announce Joint Summer Tour

The summer months will welcome a joint Steely Dan and Elvis Costello tour, which will hit U.S. venues from April to August. 31 dates are scheduled over the five-month stretch.

The tour will start on April 7 at the Wells Fargo Center for the Performing Arts in Santa Rosa, California. It will make nine stops in total in the Golden State, hitting notable venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Pearl Theatre. The two artists will also perform at this year’s Coachella Festival on April 17.

From California, the tour will travel to New Mexico, Texas and Missouri and make its way to the East Coast on the back end with dates in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Tennessee and Florida.

Costello will pick up with Steely Dan at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on July 6. All dates that Costello will perform at are noted with an asterisk in the complete tour itinerary below.
