This week’s top concerts in indie and alternative music kick off with a show by Old Crow Medicine Show at the Lifestyles Communities Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio on July 30th. On the 31st a trio of killer shows will cap off July. Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson will play at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, New York and Weezer will play up the coast at the Maine State Pier in Portland, Maine. Also on the 31st Brand New will play the Lollapalooza Aftershow at the House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois. Finally on the 1st of August, alt-rock band Shinedown will play at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

This week on the 31st emo veterans Brand New will play the Lollapalooza Aftershow at the House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois. The show has an average ticket price of $205.68 though fans will be able to find tickets for as low as $59. The band last released Daisy way back in 2009 but recently put out a single “Mene” earlier this year, signalling a new album in the works. Brand New will play Lollapalooza in Chicago on the 1st and on the 2nd will head to Osheaga in Montreal, Canada.

Alt-rock band Shinedown will be at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri this week on August 1st. The band released Amaryllis back in 2012 and are set to released an as of yet untitled 5th album due out in September. Shinedown will also play Kansas City, Missouri at the Arvest Bank Theatre this week on the 2nd and earlier in the week will head to Atlanta, Georgia for a show at the Tabernacle on the 31st.
