Ed Sheeran’s Final Tour Stop at Gillette Stadium Now Averaging Below $100 on Resale Market

(UPDATE 9/21/15) Three more shows remain on the third and final North American leg of Ed Sheeran’s “x” Tour, which culminates at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Friday. Those traveling to the home of the New England Patriots are in luck, too, as ticket prices have steadily dropped since the beginning of the month.
The average price for Ed Sheeran tickets at Gillette Stadium is now $99.15, which marks a 39.9% tumble from its September 1st average of $165.05. Get-in price has also taken a hit as well, dropping from $35 three weeks ago to $28 just four days out.
Prior to his last gig in Foxborough, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer will play back-to-back shows at Verizon Center in D.C. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Those two gigs own near-identical averages on the secondary market, withTuesday’s show averaging $106.18 and Wednesday’s gig averaging $105.18. Get-in price on Tuesday and Wednesday starts at $29 and $36, respectively.
Sheeran will make a brief trip to Australia and New Zealand in November and December following his final show in Foxborough this week. By the time it wraps in early-December, the “x” Tour will have played 179 shows over 16 months, dating back to August of 2014.

(UPDATE 9/18/15) The third and final North American leg of Ed Sheeran’s “x” Tour is quickly winding down, but that hasn’t caused ticket prices to lighten up on the secondary market. With five more shows remaining through next Friday, Ed Sheeran tickets on TicketIQ are averaging $126.06. The “Photograph” singer will make his top-priced stop at Air Canada Centre this Sunday and officially wraps his monumental tour at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
Ed Sheeran tickets in Toronto now average $232.23, marking an 84% jump over the remaining tour average of $126.06. The cheapest available ticket to the Air Canada Centre gig is $122. It is the only show left on tour that averages above $200 on the secondary market.
Next Tuesday’s show at Verizon Center in D.C. will own the most affordable ticket average at $104.19, though Sheeran’s stop at Gillette Stadium has the cheapest get-in price at $32. Next Friday’s Foxborough show caps a 15-date run that began on September 3 in Houston.
Following the conclusion of the North American leg Sheeran will officially wind down tour with a brief Oceania run between Australia and New Zealand in November and December. Six shows are scheduled across both countries, with the final date set for December 12 at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland.

The singer will embark on his third and final North American leg at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on Thursday and make 14 stops across the continent through the end of the month.
Over that time, the average price for Ed Sheeran tickets on TicketIQ is currently $178.24. Sheeran will make his most expensive stop on September 20 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. That show now owns a secondary market average of $3237.91 and the get-in price is $132. Additional top-priced shows includeSeptember 12 at Atlanta’s Phillips Arena ($266.01 avg./$101 get-in) andSeptember 8 at Amway Center in Orlando ($264.44 avg./$91 get-in).
Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center welcomes the most affordable show onSeptember 17. Ed Sheeran tickets in Cincinnati now average $97.23 and get-in price starts at $29. It will be the only show of the tour leg that owns a ticket average below $100. His second cheapest gig comes on September 5 at Toyota Stadium, where tickets own a secondary market average of $97.23 and get-in price is $29.
Christina Perri will join Sheeran on all upcoming dates in the U.S. and Canada. Following the North American leg, he’ll head out to Australia and New Zealand for a short batch of shows in November and December.

The Brit pop singer will remain on the road in the U.S. and Canada through the end of September, and ticket prices won’t be cheap on the secondary market. According to TicketIQ, Ed Sheeran tickets over his remaining 21 shows this summer average at $161.49.
His most expensive show comes on September 12 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $601.36, 272% above tour average, and the cheapest available ticket is now $106. He’ll play his second top-priced show at Miami’s American Airlines Arena on September 9, where tickets average at $240.46 and get-in price starts at $77.
The “Thinking Out Loud” singer’s cheapest show will be held on September 22 at Verizon Center in D.C. Tickets to the show currently average at $117.92 and the get-in price is $38. He’ll rock Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center five days prior as his second cheapest gig of tour, with tickets averaging at $127.06 and get-in price starting at $38.

According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Ed Sheeran tickets over his remaining shows is $170.37.
Sheeran will play his most expensive show on September 12 at Philips Arena in Atlanta. With Christina Perri slated to open the show, the average price for Atlanta Ed Sheeran tickets is $537.26 on the secondary market, 215% above tour average. The cheapest available ticket for the show is now $106.
Other top-priced shows include stops on June 26 at Greek Theatre ($352.94/avg.), June 24 at Hollywood Bowl ($292.71/avg.) and June 30 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre ($282.60/avg.). Sheeran will make nine more tour stops that own an average ticket price above $200 on the secondary market. His top-priced gigs will be held at Philips Arena on September 12 ($489.95/avg.), Scotiabank Saddledome June 17 ($356.33), Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 30 ($285.23) and June 26 at Greek Theatre ($280.06).
A June 16 show at SaskTel Centre serves as the singer’s cheapest remaining tour date. (UPDATE 6/8/15) Brit pop star Ed Sheeran continues his stay in North America with five shows this week. The redheaded “Bloodstream” singer will play Wells Fargo Arena, Denny Sanford Premier Center, MTS Centre, Brandt Center and Rexall Place through Sunday. Over those five gigs, the average price for Ed Sheeran tickets is $117.73 on the secondary market.
Sheeran’s top-priced gig this week comes on Sunday when he touches down at Rexall Place in Edmonton. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $160.88 and the cheapest available ticket, or get-in price, starts at $64. Two other shows average above $100 this week; June 12 at MTS Centre ($104.67) and June 10 at Denny Sanford Premier Center ($102.30).
It will be Sheeran’s June 13 stop at Brandt Centre in Saskatoon that generates the cheapest ticket prices this week. Tickets to the show currently average at $86.75 and the get-in price starts at $19. On June 9, he’ll play Wells Fargo Arena in Iowa, where tickets average at $95.93 and get-in price is $72 on the secondary market.

The “Thinking Out Loud” singer plays his most expensive gig on September 9 at American Airlines Arena in Miami. Ed Sheeran Adds Second North American Leg to World Tour
(4-1-2015) Ed Sheeran is already bound for the U.S. and Canada later this spring, but the red-headed crooner has announced an additional North American scheduled in the fall.
The newly added dates will take the “Thinking Out Loud” singer across the continent in September, playing 14 dates over the month-long excursion. The leg begins at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on September 3rd and wraps at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on September 23rd.
Sheeran will mostly play arenas, including notable stops at the Amway Center in Orlando, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Atlanta’s Philips Arena and the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Along with BBVA, Sheeran is slated to play Toyota Stadium in Dallas.
His initial North American leg kicks off on May 3rd at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis. It concludes at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on July 3rd.
