Previewing the Card and Ticket Prices for 2015 WWE Night of Champions
September 18, 2015
The WWE will be hosting it’s next pay-per-event this weekend. Night of Champions is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 20 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, just four weeks after SummerSlam was held in Brooklyn. According to TicketIQ, the current average price for Night of Champions tickets on the secondary market is $155.18, with a get-in price of $53. That makes it the most expensive Night of Champions since 2010, when the event first moved to September.
Previously the most expensive Night of Champions came in 2013 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The event had an average price of $132.63, 14.5% below this year, and a get-in price of $64. The main event that evening was Daniel Bryan against Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Bryan, a fan favorite, had beaten John Cena the previous month at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship, but immediately after was attacked by Triple H, who had been the special guest referee for the match, which allowed Randy Orton to cash in a Money in the Bank opportunity for a championship match. Both the story and the fan appreciation for Bryan played a large role in the demand that year.
