Residency shows have been a staple of the Las Vegas Strip for decades, and countless artists including Boyz II Men, Cher, DEADMAU5, Def Leppard, Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, and Prince have rocked a Vegas stage for a period of time. As it stands, a handful of huge names in music inducing Celine Dion, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Santana, and Britney Spears will be launching or resuming their own residencies in 2016.

Celine Dion | Caesars Palace | Average Ticket Price: $165
Although Celine Dion has been forced to cancel a few dates of Vegas residency to the due of her husband, Rene Angelil, the singer will resume her record-breaking residency on February 23 until June 4 at Caesars Palace. Dion launched her first Vegas residency in 2011, and has gone on to become the top money earner in Vegas, earning $476k a show. As it stands, Celine Dion tickets are averaging $165 for the dates, with the cheapest ticket available for $69.
Elton John | Caesars Palace | Average Ticket Price: $229
Sir Elton John launched his Vegas residency The Million Dollar Piano back in 2011, and the show is set to continue until April 30, 2016. Elton John’s last run in October grossed an impressive $7,363,760, and his upcoming dates for 2016 are already expensive on the secondary market. Elton John tickets are averaging $229 for all of scheduled dates, which kick of January 19 at Caesars Palace. Elton John gets audiences on their feet with fan-favorite tracks like “Rocket Man,” “Benny and the Jets,” “Tiny Dancer” and “Crocodile Rock.”
Jennifer Lopez | Planet Hollywood | Average Ticket Price: $302
Unlike a few other artists who have been holding down Vegas residencies for years, J. Lo will launch her first headlining residency, "Jennifer Lopez: All I Have", beginning January 20, 2016. As of now, dates are scheduled to run until June 12, and Jennifer Lopez tickets are already averaging $302 on the resale market. Fans can expect a mix of pop, R&B and fan favorites. The show will feature a live band, dancers, costumes and state-of-the-art technology.
Santana | House of Blues | Average Ticket Price: $302
The legendary guitarist Carlos Santana will launch his fourth year of residency at House of Blues on January 27. "An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live!" is scheduled to run until May 29, and Carlos Santana tickets are averaging $302 across all of his scheduled dates. In September, Santana’s residency officially sold over 100,000 tickets. Santana has sold more than 100 million records and won 10 Grammy Awards during his 40-plus-year career, as the popularity surrounding his stay in Vegas isn’t without good reason.
Britney Spears | Planet Hollywood | Average Ticket Price: $241
If you missed the chance to see Britney Spears live during her first three years playing a Las Vegas residency, the good news is that the pop-singer is scheduled for more dates well into 2016. Britney’s 12th and 13th legs of her "Britney: Piece of Me" residency will launch February 13-27, and resume again April 6-22. After 15-plus years of chart-topping hits, the 34-year-old singer is still a huge live commodity, as Britney Spears tickets are averaging $241 on the secondary market. Performances include all of the hit tracks, including “Work Bitch,” “Womanizer,” and “Baby One More Time.”
