Surprise, Surprise: The Warriors & Lakers Dominate This Week's Most Expensive NBA Games List
February 29, 2016
At this point, it's plain silly watching the Golden State Warriors night in and night out. And if you really want to watch the team live, it's even sillier how big the demand is for tickets along both at Oracle Arena and on the road. The team is on pace to break the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls all-time record of 72-10 and took their latest win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in jaw-dropping fashion. Steph Curry and Co. are heavy favorites to repeat as NBA champs, but they aren't the only team posting big numbers on the secondary market this week.
Enter Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, who despite their Western Conference-worst 11-49 record have played to sellout crowds all season long. Bryant will retire following the season, and his allure as his career winds down is a direct factor in those big ticket prices. It comes as no surprise, then, that the Lakers and Warriors' meeting at Staples Center on Sunday is the most expensive NBA game this week.

3/02/16 Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers | Avg. Price: $359.47 | Get-in: $46
It will be a cellar-dwelling affair in Denver on Wednesday when the Nuggets host the Lakers at Pepsi Center. Still, Bryant's presence will once again generate allure in the Mile High City, and Denver Nuggets tickets against the Lakers currently average $359.47 and the get-in price is $46 on the resale market.
3/04/16 Los Angeles Lakers vs Atlanta Hawks | Avg. Price: $307.54 | Get-in: $81
The Lakers round things off on the top games list this Friday when they host the Atlanta Hawks in Los Angeles.
