Violent Femmes Announce Tour Dates Around First Album in 16 Years, Tickets on Sale This Friday

It will be a memorable spring for the Violent Femmes, who have announced initial 2016 tour dates in support of We Can Do Anything, the band's upcoming studio album and first since 2000's Freak Magnet. The tour will run over two weeks in May and primarily be held on the west coast.

The action kicks off on May 2 at The Depot in Salt Lake City and winds through Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Vancouver, Washington and Indiana before wrapping at The Wilma in Missoula, Montana on May 19. 13 dates in total are scheduled over that time. Other notable stops include Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas and a two-night residency at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
Violent Femmes tickets will officially go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, February 26 at 10 a.m. A special pre-sale for American Express cardholders will be made available beginning Wednesday, February 24 at 10 a.m. and continues through Thursday, February 25 at 10 p.m. We Can Do Anything is scheduled for a March 4 release date.
