Yanni Launches 2016 North American Tour Tonight, Tickets Averaging Over $200 on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 2/2/16) Strike up the band, Yanni begins the next leg of his World Tour in Florida tonight. The famous composer hits the road for his 55-date trek across the continent beginning in Sarasota, and for fans still planning on attending an upcoming gig, expect to pay big for Yanni tickets on the secondary market.
According to TicketIQ, the average price for tickets across the musician's North American run is now $200.51. He'll make his most expensive stop at Jones Beach Theater in New York on July 13, where tickets average $297.61 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $65. Other top-priced gigs include February 19 at Marina Civic Center ($270.22 avg./$149 get-in) and July 20 at Academy of Music ($255.16 avg./$184 get-in).

Even Yanni's least expensive dates are still garnering big ticket demand on the secondary market. The composer's cheapest gig will be held on July 22 at Fraze Pavilion in Dayton, Ohio, with tickets averaging $120.57 and the get-in price starting from $77. A February 6 stop at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida will be his second cheapest show at an average price of $130.28 and a $42 get-in price.
Yanni's 2016 World Tour continues through July 31, when it wraps at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Yanni Announces 2016 North American Tour Dates

The tour kicks off on February 2 at Van Wezel Performance Arts Hall in Sarasota, Florida. 40 shows are scheduled in the U.S. and Canada through July 22, when the tour wraps at Fraze Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Kettering, Ohio.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 15 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
