Iggy Pop and Josh Homme Kick Off 'Post Pop Depression' Tour; Tickets Averaging $170 On Secondary Market
March 29, 2016
(UPDATE 3/29/16) The Stooges frontman Iggy Pop has joined forces with Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme for a joint run of shows in the U.S. and Canada this spring. The duo launched the "Post Pop Depression" Tour last night at Seattle's Paramount Theatre, marking the first of 13 scheduled North America stops through the end of April.
It appears that Pop and Homme are finding a big demand for tickets on the secondary market, too, as many of their upcoming dates are posting considerable price points. Over the 12 remaining dates the average price for Iggy Pop tickets on the secondary market is $170.32. The tour will make its most expensive stop at Philadelphia's Academy of Music on April 15, where tickets currently average $226.64 and the get-in price is $160. Conversely, the cheapest show comes on April 2 at Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver ($114.47 avg./$58 get-in).
Following the North American run Pop and Homme will head to Europe for a short stretch of tour dates in May. They'll hit Sweden, Denmark and Netherlands before wrapping in the U.K. and France.
