Kobe vs LeBron Finale Tops This Week's Most Expensive NBA Games List
March 7, 2016
The basketball world was stunned on Sunday as the Los Angeles Lakers routed the record-seeking Golden State Warriors in a blowout matchup at Staples Center. The Warriors lacked their trademark offense, scoring just 95 points in the road loss. The Lakers now prepare to host another marquee matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, and Kobe Bryant's final battle with LeBron James is generating big demand on the secondary ticket market.
The Warriors won't be kept off the grid for long, however, as they host three of this week's top-priced games. Check out the complete list of games below, according to TicketIQ:

Two of the NBA's greatest players will meet for the last time on Thursday as the Lakers welcome the Cavs to Staples Center. Kobe and LeBron's final game against one another won't come cheap, as the average price for Los Angeles Lakers tickets on the secondary market against the Cavaliers is $562.43. The cheapest ticket is listed for $174.
In 21 prior meetings, LeBron owns the upper hand over Kobe, winning 15 of those games and averaging 28.4 PPG compared to Kobe's 24.6 PPG. They two teams met at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland last month in their first game of the season. The Cavaliers escaped with a narrow victory, winning 120-111 at home.
3/11/16 Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers | Avg. Price: $417.79 | Get-in: $129
With an uncharacteristic loss to the Lakers bringing up doubts as to whether the Warriors will surpass the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' all-time record of 72-10, Steph Curry and Co. will look to right the ship this week. They'll host six consecutive home games through the middle of next week, looking to pile on to their record-tying 44-game win streak at home. The Portland Trail Blazers are in town on Friday, and the average secondary market price for Golden State Warriors ticketsagainst the Blazers is $417.79. Looking just to get in? The cheapest ticket starts from $129.
3/12/16 San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder | Avg. Price: $412.26 | Get-in: $59
The Warriors may be captivating the nation with their record-breaking season, but the San Antonio Spurs have quietly put up a mammoth season of their own. The team is currently in the midst of an eight-game winning streak and owns a 53-9 record through 62 games. While 19 straights wins to overthrow the historic Bulls team are unlikely, the Spurs are certainly looking forward to a 19th straight playoff berth. They'll host the Oklahoma City Thunder this Saturday, where San Antonio Spurs tickets on the resale market average $412.26 and the get-in price is $59.
3/12/16 Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns | Avg. Price: $401.58 | Get-in: $128
The Warriors again appear on this week's list when they welcome the Phoenix Suns to Oracle Arena on Saturday. The struggling Suns own the second worst record in the Western Conference at 17-46, and things won't get any easier when they travel up to Oakland over the weekend. Warriors vs Suns tickets now average $401.58 and the cheapest ticket available is currently $128 on the secondary market.
3/07/16 Golden State Warriors vs Orlando Magic | Avg. Price: $281.94 | Get-in: $85
While it feels like the Warriors have broken a new record each night they play, Tuesday night's game against the Orlando Magic could be the biggest achievement thus far this season. A win would give the team its record-breaking 45th home victory, passing the 44 straight home games the Bulls won between 1995 and 1996. The game will be the fifth most expensive of the week at an average price of $281.94 and the get-in price starting from $85.
