Smashing Pumpkins Tickets Averaging Over $140 on Secondary Market for 2016 'In Plainsong' Tour

(UPDATE 3/22/16) The Smashing Pumpkins will embark on their 2016 "In Plainsong" Tour in Portland tonight, the first of 21 dates scheduled in the U.S. and Canada through mid April. Fans hoping to attend an upcoming show can expect to pay big prices to attend, as the average price for Smashing Pumpkins tickets on the secondary market is currently $141.85 across the month-long trek.
The band makes its most expensive stop on April 27 at Oven Auditorium in Charlotte. That show currently owns a resale average of $192.49 and tickets start from $68. Other top-priced shows include April 4 and 5 at Beacon Theatre in New York City, where tickets average $154.22 and $158.87 respectively. An April 6 show there will be the cheapest of the trio of Beacon Theatre gigs scheduled, with tickets averaging $139.18 and the get-in price starting from $55.
Conversely, it will be an April 2 stop at Palace Theater in Columbus, OH that owns the cheapest tickets at an average price of $95.11 and a $50 get-in price. It will be the only show of tour that averages below $100. The second cheapest show will be held on April 9 at Orpheum Theatre in Boston, where tickets average $103.19 and the get-in price is $46.
The 2016 In Plainsong Tour continues through April 20 at Cullen Performance Hall in Houston.

The Smashing Pumpkins Announce 2016 'In Plainsong' Tour Dates, Tickets On Sale This Friday
(ORIGINALLY POSTED 2/4/16) The Smashing Pumpkins used much of 2015 to tour North America, both with Marilyn Manson on the joint "End Times" Tour and the electro-acoustic "In Plainsong" Tour. A similar recipe appears to be in order this year, as the band has revealed a 20-date tour through the U.S. and Canada set for the spring.
The 2016 In Plainsong Tour kicks off on March 22 at Schnitzer Hall in Portland and winds down four weeks later with a final performance at Houston's Cullen Performance Hall on April 20. Tickets to all upcoming shows go on sale this Friday, February 5 at 9 a.m. via Ticketmaster. A special fan club and Citi cardholder pre-sale is now availalble through tonight at 10 p.m.

The band has stated that they will release "a new recording" following the conclusion of their spring run, though it is unknown whether a full album is in the works. They'll continue to tour in support of Monuments to an Elegy, their latest record that was released in 2014.
