Canelo Alvarez will put his WBC middleweight title on the line Saturday night when he faces reigning WBC Silver welterweight champion Amir Khan at the newly opened T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As the first major sporting event to be held at the Sin City arena, which officially opened its doors last month, the bout will bring together two of the biggest names in boxing - and fans will be paying big prices to attend.
According to TicketIQ, the average price for Canelo vs. Khan tickets on the secondary market is now $1,015.14. Looking at AXS.com, the fight's official ticket seller, prices range from $150 in the easternmost sections of the 200 level to $1,500 on the floor of the arena. If looking just to get in, resale tickets start from $215 in Section 211.
Considered a power-oriented fighter, Alvarez will bring his 155-pound frame into the ring to face the speedy Khan, whose hand quickness makes Saturday's fight a marquee power vs. speed matchup. It will be Kahn's first bout above welterweight and the U.K.-born fighter faces long odds (plus-350 underdog) at upsetting the WBC middleweight champion Alvarez.

Canelo captured his title from Miguel Cotto last November after beating him in a unanimous decision at Mandalay Bay Events Center. He brings a 46-1-1 professional record to Las Vegas this weekend, with his only loss coming in a majority decision against Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in September 2013. He'll face the 31-0-3 Khan, who last faced Chris Algeri at Brooklyn's Barclays Center to retain his WBV Silver welterweight title for the second time. He previously defended it against Devon Alexander at MGM Grand Garden Arena in December 2014.
