How Much Will Fans Be Paying to Attend the Final Games at Turner Field?
September 20, 2016
Over the last 20 years, Turner Field has served as a beacon for baseball in the city of Atlanta, housing the spirited Braves teams of the late-1990s and early-2000s and, more recently, the rebuilding club that stands today. As it prepares for a new era of live entertainment, the stadium will become the future home of Georgia State University's football team while the Braves move into the new, state-of-the-art SunTrust Park beginning next season.
Six more home games remain during the 2016 MLB season, so how hot are tickets to the Braves' final games at Turner Field? They're selling at a notable premium on the secondary market, but fans won't have to burn a hole in their wallet if searching in the right places.
Take a look at how Braves tickets on the secondary market stack up over the team's final three home games at Turner Field below:

The average resale price for Braves tickets across the three-game series is $125, a notable 127 percent increase over the team's $55 season average. Still, even with that price premium in effect, fans hoping to be on hand at the last-ever game at Turner Field on October 2nd can find the cheapest tickets for $43 each. The opening game of the series against the Tigers will be the least expensive to attend, with the get-in price starting from just $
Several ticket options still exist on the primary market as well. Braves tickets on Ticketmaster are widely available across the first two games against the Tigers and start from just $13 in the general admission area. Good luck trying to lock down primary seats to the final game, however - tickets have been sold out for months.
2016 marks the 20th and final season of Turner Field. The stadium initially opened in conjunction with the 1996 Olympics and was later converted to accommodate the Braves, who moved just one block over from their old digs at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. They'll host their first game at SunTrust Park against the Padres on April 13, 2017.
