Deftones & Rise Against to Launch Joint Summer Tour

March 2, 2017

Alternative metal veteran Deftones will embark on a month-long tour this summer in support of their 2016 album, Gore. Joining Deftones on tour is punk rock band Rise Against, who last released The Black Market in 2014.

The tour will start in Rise Against’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois on June 9th at the Huntington Bank Pavilion. On the 11th the tour will head to it’s lone Canadian stop for a show at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. For those in the New York City area there is a show in Wantagh (Long Island) at the Jones Beach Theater on June 13th. On July 6th Deftones will play close to their hometown of Sacramento, California with a stop in Concord at the Concord Pavilion. The tour will end with a show at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona on July 9th. Thrice will be opening for Deftones and Rise Against on this tour. They reunited in 2015 and put out their ninth album To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere last May. English instrumental noise-rock band Three Trapped Tigers will also open on the tour.

Gore marks a return to form for the Deftones in sound and received critical acclaim upon its release, similar to 2012’s Koi No Yokan. Fans can expect to hear hits from all the band's classic albums and maybe some new Rise Against material who are reportedly working on a new album.

Though tickets for Deftones are still available on the primary market but can be found on the secondary market for cheap prices on dates that are likely to sell out soon. On TicketIQ, the cheapest ticket can be purchased for just $32 at the show on July 6th in Concord, California.
