Ricky Gervais to Launch Comedy Tour This May; Tickets On Sale Now

English comedian Ricky Gervais will embark on a short stand-up tour in North America beginning this spring. The tour, which is entitled Humanity, marks the first in 7 years for the 55-year-old comedian. The tour will stop in New York City on May 21st at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Shows that follow include a pair of peformances at the Chicago Theatre on May 24th and 25th. Gervais will head to Canada with two shows in Toronto at Massey Hall on July 14th and 15th. The tour will come back stateside with a show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 28th and 30th.
Ricky Gervais tickets are now on sale via TicketIQ, and fans are encouraged to act quickly if they want to grab tickets quickly for the single New York City show before tickets sell out. As of now, the cheapest ticket to that date can be purchased for just $80.
The upcoming run will mark Gervais' 5th world tour. The renown Twitter user is best known for his role on the British version of The Office which Gervais returned to last year with a film for Netflix. For fans of his infamous Golden Globe shows, the tour will act as an opportunity to see Gervais in a smaller, live setting. According to the comedian: "Humanity will be my angriest, most honest and I think my best tour yet. It’s probably my most personal too. I feel I may as well tell you everything before I die."
