Prices For Patriots vs Titans Tickets Down 37% Since Sunday

The Tennessee Titans put on quite the show Saturday, turning an 18-point wild-card deficit into a 22-21 victory against Kansas City.

After the victory, according to TicketIQ.com, the average asking price for a ticket to Saturday’s AFC divisional game dropped from $480 to $303, making it the 2nd least expensive of the divisional match-ups, only Jacksonville at Pittsburgh has a lower average price at $292 per seat.

Historically, the cost of the game is the third-most expensive for a divisional game at Gillette Stadium since 2011, when TicketIQ.com began tracking data. The most expensive division game was last season’s affair against the Texans ($458). In 2016, fans paid an average of $449 to see the Patriots defeat the Chiefs.

The Patriots, winners of the AFC East, had a bye in the wild-card round and home-field advantage through the playoffs. The soonest they could play their most recent archrivals, the Steelers, would be in the AFC Championship at Gillette Stadium.

New England has played in three Super Bowls since 2011, has played in the post season nine consecutive times and 14 times since 2000 and, of course has won five Super Bowls this century (including three consecutive between 2001-04).

As of Jan. 9, TicketIQ.com had 4,433 tickets remaining for the game, with a get-in price of $142, down 30% since Sunday.

According to data from TicketIQ.com, the average asking price for a ticket to New England’s AFC Divisional game on Jan. 13 is already $480, making it the most expensive ticket for a divisional game in New England since TicketIQ.com began tracking data in 2011. The next most expensive game was last year’s divisional game against Houston, for which the average cost was $458. In fact, only two non-Super Bowl playoff games since 2011 have cost more – the 2017 Conference Championship against Pittsburgh ($758) and the 2015 Conference Championship vs. the Colts ($591).
