2016 Governor's Ball Lineup Announced; Kanye West and The Strokes to Headline

If you’re planning on hitting up one of the many music festivals across the country this summer, now is the time to start. This morning, Governors Ball announced the initial round of their heavily anticipated lineup, and major acts like Kanye West, the Strokes, the Killers, Robyn, M83, Haim, Chvrches, Father John Misty, and Death Cab are set to play the festival. Gov Ball will kick off on June 3-5 at Randall’s Island in New York City. Kanye previously headlined Gov Ball in 2013, and the Strokes in 2014.

The roster is already being paraded as one of the best festival lineups thus far, so fans can expect tickets to dwindle fast. Already, tickets for the Limited Pre-Sale to Governors Ball have sold out. Until midnight on January 8, tickets for the "Special Announce Day Ticket Sale" will be available, and tickets can be purchased for as low as $275, although an additional $40 in fees apply to each 3-day pass. VIP passes are currently $600, and Super VIP passes are going for a pricey $2,000 with service fees totaling $50 and $100, respectively.
